Minimally invasive surgeries refer to procedures that the surgeon can accomplish through very small incisions or even no incision. The surgeon can perform these procedures in such as way as to cause little to no trauma to the affected area and patient. These procedures can include utilizing tools such as endoscopes, laparoscopes, or lasers. Minimally invasive procedures often require less recovery time, involve less bleeding, minimal amounts of anesthesia, minimal scarring, and less pain.
