Dr. Julie Schottenstein, M.S., D.P.M, F.A.C.F.A.S, F.A.C.P.M, C.I.M.E
Dr. Julie Schottenstein is Double Board Certified by the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She completed a surgical fellowship concentrating on rearfoot reconstructive surgery and trauma surgery and is also a Board Certified Independent Medical Examiner experienced in Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury cases.
A native Miamian, Dr. Schottenstein completed her undergraduate studies at Boston University and earned a Master’s degree from Barry University in Biomedical Sciences before graduating in the top 10 percent of her class with her Doctorate from Barry University’s School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. She completed an extensive three-year surgical residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Miami and a fellowship in advanced Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Schottenstein currently holds clinical faculty positions for five different residency programs.

Edgewater
Edgewater residents are our closest neighbors. Bayfront walks and runs along Biscayne Bay, dog walking on hard sidewalks, and active condo living put steady mileage on feet, which often shows up as plantar fasciitis, shin splints, and Achilles tendon problems. We can often diagnose and begin treatment in one visit, with digital X-rays on site.
