We are proud to announce that Dr. Julie Schottenstein has been awarded the prestigious Teaching Faculty of the Year Award – Attending Surgeon at HCA Aventura Hospital. This honor recognizes her exceptional commitment to clinical education, mentorship, and the development of the next generation of physicians and surgeons.
As a double board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and founder of The Schottenstein Center, Dr. Schottenstein brings both depth of experience and a passion for excellence to her teaching. Her clinical expertise in foot and ankle reconstruction, trauma, and sports medicine is matched by her dedication to resident and student education. She currently serves as clinical faculty for five different residency programs, in addition to her ongoing work as a fellowship instructor.
Dr. Schottenstein’s ability to inspire, lead by example, and remain accessible to trainees has earned her deep respect throughout the academic medical community. We congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition and thank her for continuing to raise the bar in both patient care and medical education.
